| Noel Rowland joined the Institute in December 1994 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in July 1998. He is an experienced association executive having worked for a number of industry associations, the last being Aged Care Australia. He has previously been active in the Australian Society of Association Executives and completed the Graduate Certificate in Association Management at Monash Mt Eliza Business School in 1997. Prior to moving into association management Noel was an advisor to a Federal politician. As with past organisations, he represents the Institute on various industry forums and groups, and is currently a member of the Business Entry Point Consultative Group. He is also an active member of The Executive Connection, an international organisation of CEOs and Managing Directors. Contact | |

| Over the last seven years Michael has been at the forefront of the Institute’s involvement in tax reform, representing the Institute at both policy and administrative consultative forums, preparing submissions to Government on tax reform issues and speaking out on issues of concern in the media. He has authored and co-authored over 300 book chapters, revenue encyclopedia entries, articles, book reviews and notes as well as numerous conference papers and is the Australian correspondent for the Bulletin for International Taxation. His most recent major work is Is it Australia’s? Residency and source analysed Research Study No 44, Australian Tax Research Foundation (2005). Before assuming his role with the Taxation Institute Michael was a Senior Lecturer in Law at the University of Canberra, a tax consultant and had previously worked for the ATO over 10 years in Canberra, Adelaide and Hobart. Michael holds a Bachelor of Economics from the Australian National University, a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Laws (Commercial) from the University of Adelaide, a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the South Australian Institute of Technology, a Doctor of Philosophy from the Australian National University and is admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor, in Supreme Courts of South Australia and the Australian Capital Territory and in the High Court of Australia. | |

| Michael Payne-Mulcahy | |
![]() | Prior to joining the Taxation Institute in 1998, Michael was a tax practitioner in the tax advisory divisions of both accounting and legal firms in Australia and the UK. He currently works with the Institute’s Senior Tax Counsel as part of the Taxation Institute’s national tax policy and research team, with responsibility for implementing the Institute’s technical, policy, and administrative consultations with the ATO and Treasury, including the preparation of submissions and other representations to Government. Michael also provides tax technical support to the Taxation Institute’s members and contributes to its education programs and publishing products. Michael has qualifications in both law and accounting, including a post-graduate international law degree, and is admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory and as a Barrister in the Supreme Court of NSW. | Ruth Ferraro | |
![]() | Ruth Ferraro is the General Manager of Education and is responsible for the Events and Education Division of the Institute. She holds a Master of Adult Education and Training (UTS 1999) and a Master of Business (UTS 2005). Prior to joining the Taxation Institute of Australia in March 2005, Ruth's previous experience spanned educational roles in other membership organisations in the finance, investment, accounting and financial planning sectors. Since joining the Taxation Institute Ruth has overseen the development and implementation of the Institute's Structured Education Program. |

Zeina Khodr is the General Manager of Information Products and is responsible for the Institute information products' strategy for all new and existing print publications (journals, books, newsletters), online publications (eBooks, subscriptions), websites and research library. She holds a BA Communications (Hons), Certificate in Graphic Design, Post-Graduate Certificate in eBusiness, Masters of Management and is currently completing the MBA (MGSM). Zeina has over 13 years industry consulting experience in ecommerce strategy development, digital media, eLearning, business consulting, project management, and marketing strategy & business development over a broad range of industries such as financial services, government, and IT&T. | |

| Deborah Patison | |
![]() | Deborah Patison joined the Taxation Institute in 2002. Deborah has over of 18 years of experience in membership and community based marketing, PR and events management. Prior to joining the Institute, Deborah worked as a Marketing Manager in other not-for-profit sectors, sports marketing and managed her own nation-wide events company. | Des has worked in finance and administration roles for over 20 years. He is responsible for Finance, Administration, IT, Membership and Property at the Institute. Des has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of NSW. He is a Fellow member of the CPAs (FCPA), and an Associate member of the Chartered Secretaries (ACIS), FTIA and is a JP. Des has experience in a number of industries having worked for TNT in Australia and Radio 2GB, and Abraxas in the U.K. Des worked for over 10 years at Insearch Ltd a large education company owned by the University of Technology Sydney. Before joining the Tax Institute Des was the Financial Controller of the Property Council of Australia. | |

![]() | Monique Belousoff As the State Manager for Queensland, Monique Belousoff is responsible for ensuring the continued growth and development of the Institute in the State and maintaining the high standard of delivery of services to members. Prior to joining the Institute, Monique was involved in a variety of marketing roles across the community/non-profit, legal, retail and property sectors. She also ran her own business consultancy providing advice and assistance to SMEs in marketing, customer service and business development. She is an Associate Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) and has sat on the Queensland Council of the AMI. |

Angelika joined the organisation in August 2006 following eight years with the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Her previous work experience encompasses relationship management, education & training, sales & marketing for various organisations in the Association, Further Education, Marketing, Hospitality and Medical industries. |
