WORKSHOP: Lifecycle of a Resources Project – a practical case study that examines the income tax and GST issues faced in the different aspects of a mining project including:

  • Exploration/discovery
  • Farm-in/farm-out
  • Sanction (including project finance aspects)
  • Selling down interests in operating assets
  • Closure/rehabilitation

The case study will be examined in smaller groups to ensure there is sufficient opportunity for all to participate. The discussion will be facilitated by income tax and GST experts from industry and the profession.
